The move is understood to be a straight loan without an option for Everton to buy the 26-year-old winger, but there is a release clause included which can be invoked during the loan spell. Aston Villa enquired about a similar deal but pulled out because of Harrison’s current hip injury, which is set to keep him out for around three to four weeks. The 26-year-old passed his medical with Everton on Sunday and becomes their fourth signing of the summer transfer window following the arrivals of forward Arnaut Danjuma, defender Ashley Young and striker Youssef Chermiti.
